Programs of Study
The Drayton Harbor Music Festival, previously known as the Blaine Jazz Festival, is a week of exciting ensemble classes and concerts for junior high and high school musicians. The camp and festival activities are held in scenic Blaine, Washington. In 2018, the festival will be held from July 8-14. The Drayton Harbor Music Festival welcomes pre-college students with experience in all musical styles and instruments. We are proud to feature four unique paths for our students:
Jazz – focuses on large and small group playing as well as jazz improvisation studies. Last year and this year we are offering classes in traditional jazz. Read more about trad jazz here!
Vocal – features our excellent jazz choirs and soloists,
Classical to Contemporary – a great program for those students who come from a concert band/orchestral background
Let's Rock – focuses on music from the genres of rock, pop, blues, and more.
For the 2018 festival, we're also offering Song Writing
with Camille Bloom!
